1. Do you need a professional account?
If you have fewer than 10 establishments, you do not need to create a professional account. If you only want to create a personal Google My Business account, register on Partoo!
If you have more than 10 establishments, Partoo's teams will take care of creating a professional account for you as this will make it easier for you to manage your Google My Business listings!
To find out if you already have a Google My Business professional account, log in to your Google My Business account (here) and check the bar at the top of your account. If it says ‘Places’, you have a personal account; if it says ‘Professional accounts’, then you’re all set
2. Transferring ownership to the Partoo teams:
a) If you have a Google My Business professional account you can appoint Partoo as the account owner. Don't worry—you will still be the main owner and maintain full control over your listings
b) If you do not have a Google My Business professional account but you do have a personal Google account, you can create a professional account as shown below:
3. Taking it further: understanding the differences between a professional account and a personal account.
Professional accounts are specifically designed to facilitate the shared management of a large number of establishments on Google My Business. They are created from a personal account and linked to a Gmail address:
The personal account allows you to use Gmail, Google, and YouTube and to manage your establishments on Google My Business. The Google My Business management options are, however, limited with this type of account.
Professional accounts, on the other hand, allow you to securely share responsibility for managing your establishments with other users, just as you would share a folder. One personal account can own several professional accounts, which can be useful when it comes to managing several brands, for example.
