Some verification methods for Google Business Profile listings are only available through the Google console and not on Partoo. This includes verification through video recording or video call.

You can find explanations in the video below

How to verify my Google Business Profile listing through a video recording or video call?

Here are the steps to verify your establishment through video recording or video call:

  1. Log in to your Google account.

  2. On Google search, search for "My Business".

  3. The profiles you manage will appear on the page. If you have multiple listings, click on "View profile" next to the establishment you want to validate.

  4. Click on the "Get verified" button.

  5. In some cases, Google may ask for a phone number. If prompted, provide the phone number and click "Next."

  6. Select the available verification method, click "Next," and follow the instructions.

Check the section in this article that applies to the proposed verification method (video recording or video call).

1. Video Recording

If the proposed method is a video call, skip to the next section.

A. Prepare your video:

This requires recording a continuous video (must be less than 2 minutes long) and showing the following elements:

  • The location of your point of sale: Film exterior signs such as your street name, nearby stores, or the surroundings of your point of sale.

  • Your business or equipment, to capture your operations: This can include stock for sale, branded equipment (e.g., logo on a van), marketing materials (business cards, flyers, posters) displaying the business name as it appears on your profile, or tools you use to serve your customer.

  • Proof that you manage the point of sale: To prove that you are authorised to represent your business, film yourself accessing to equipment or employees-only areas. This can include a cash register, kitchen, storage room, or non-sensitive business documents. You can also use your keys to open your facility.

B. Create and upload your video:

  1. Resume the process where you left off. After choosing the validation method, click on "Next," then "Start recording," and scan the QR code displayed using your phone.

  2. If your computer is not nearby, access Google from your phone. In the search bar, type "My Business". You will see your Google profile.

  3. Click on "Get verified", then on "Capture video."

  4. To start recording, tap "Start recording" and capture the elements mentioned in the previous section.

  5. Click "Stop recording" and then "Upload the video."

  6. Once the video is uploaded, Google will take up to 7 days to review it. If your business is verified, you will receive a notification.

    2. Video Call

    A. Prepare for the call:

  • Have your mobile phone ready and make sure you can join a live video call with your device.

  • Download the Google Meet application if it is not already on your smartphone (available in your phone's app store).

  • Go to your business in person. During the video call, you must be able to prove that you are the owner and present the following elements:

B. Join the video call:

  1. Resume the process where you left off. After choosing the verification method, follow the steps until you reach the video call.

If your computer is not nearby, access Google from your phone. Search for "My Business" in the search bar and initiate the search. You will see your Google profile.

  2. Click on the "Verify" button, then select "Video Call."

  3. Choose your language and click "Start Call."

  4. When you're ready, a Google advisor will join the call to guide you through the process and for you to present the elements mentioned during the call preparation stage.

  5. Once the call is completed, Google will take up to 7 days to verify your profile. If your business is validated, you will receive a notification.
