If you want to configure an offline message, it is currently not possible on the Google Business Profile interface. You have to go through a Google partner like Partoo to be able to configure certain information.
What information do I need to set up to use Business Messages?
To properly set up Google Business Messages you need to send a list of information to your existing Google certified Partner.
Here is a list of information:
Name of the agent: the name of the establishment
The response times of your establishment. This can be the opening hours of your establishment for example.
Your company logo
Welcome message, here is an example: welcome, how can we help you?
The offline status message (away message), here is an example: Sorry, we are not available at the moment. Please come back to us later.
