If you want to configure an offline message, it is currently not possible on the Google Business Profile interface. You have to go through a Google partner like Partoo to be able to configure certain information.

What information do I need to set up to use Business Messages?

To properly set up Google Business Messages you need to send a list of information to your existing Google certified Partner.

Here is a list of information:

  • Name of the agent: the name of the establishment

  • The response times of your establishment. This can be the opening hours of your establishment for example.

  • Your company logo

  • Welcome message, here is an example: welcome, how can we help you?

  • The offline status message (away message), here is an example: Sorry, we are not available at the moment. Please come back to us later.
