In summary: since September 22, 2026, views of Google Business Profile listings on Google Search have sharply dropped in countries of the European Economic Area (EEA). This phenomenon affects all brands, across all sectors. It is not related to your listings, their synchronization, or Partoo. User actions (calls, directions, clicks to the site) remain stable.
What we observe
Views on Google Search have sharply decreased, with an average drop of around 80%.
Views on Google Maps remain close to their usual level.
User actions (calls, direction requests, clicks to the website) have only decreased by a few percent, within seasonal variation limits.
Only EEA countries are affected. No comparable drop is observed in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or outside Europe.
This change coincides with Google's adjustments to its search results in Europe under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Google has not officially communicated about its origin.
Is this a problem related to my establishments?
No. This drop does not come from:
a synchronization problem with your listings;
a configuration error in Partoo;
a penalty applied by Google to your brand.
What impact on my statistics in Partoo?
The drop appears in your dashboards from the end of September 2026. September 2026 only partly includes it: to measure the real impact, compare your statistics from October 2026.
The extent of the drop may vary depending on your activity. Brands mainly discovered via Google Search (national brands, banks, insurance, services) may be more affected than those discovered directly on Google Maps (restaurants, local shops).
What should I do?
In most cases, no corrective action is necessary.
Do not modify your listings to compensate for the drop. Changing your categories, rewriting your descriptions, or multiplying updates will not increase views.
Prioritize monitoring user actions: calls, direction requests, and clicks to your site are the most reliable indicators to measure your listings' performance.
Avoid directly comparing Google Search views before and after September 22, 2026, which are probably no longer measured the same way.
If you use the Partoo Store Locator, also monitor the traffic of your local pages in your analytics tool.
