Bulk verification for Google: What are the conditions and how does it work?

Written by Sébastien Blum

Bulk verification is a process offered by Google that allows a company to manage multiple Business listings (Google Business Profile) without having to go through the standard verification methods (mail, phone call, email, video, etc.) for each listing.

This means that if your account is bulk verified:

  • You can create new Google listings, which will be visible within a few hours.

  • You can verify recovered existing listings that were unclaimed.

  • You can update the information for your businesses more quickly.

💡 This process is particularly useful for brands with a large number of points of sale.

Obtaining bulk verification from Google does not prevent you from having to verify some listings "manually", that is by using the verification method(s) proposed by Google: https://help.partoo.co/en/articles/7901761-google-business-profile-what-is-verification-or-validation-of-listings-how-do-i-validate-verify-my-google-listing

What are the conditions to obtain bulk verification?

To be eligible for bulk verification, your Google Business account must meet all of the following conditions:

  1. Have more than 10 Google listings.

  2. All the Business of your Organisation must be present on the account.

  3. The listings must have the same establishment name and the same primary category.

  4. The Google account submitting the bulk verification request must be the primary owner of all the listings.

  5. All listings must include:

    • the same website link

    • a phone number

    • a store code

  6. Prepare photos of the storefronts and invoices for several establishments (the establishments will be randomly selected by Google).

  7. Provide a professional email address (with your company domain name, e.g. example@companyname.com).

  8. Other additional Google requirements:

    • A store locator (online store finder) listing all the establishments in the account with the same information (address, phone, etc.) as on Google.

    • No suspended listings.

    • A website accessible worldwide.

If you are not eligible for bulk verification, each of your listings will need to be verified manually. For more information, please consult this article.
