Competitive Intelligence helps you compare your e-reputation with your competitors’. To make sure the results are relevant, you’ll need to complete an initial set-up.

Requirements

Before you start, make sure that:

  • you have the Presence Management and Review Management+ products (required)

  • your tags are correctly set up in RM+
👉 These tags will be used for your competitive analysis, so their quality is essential if you want relevant results.

Don’t hesitate to contact your Customer Success Manager if you’re unsure!

Accessing the settings

Go to:

Settings ⚙️ → Statistics → Tags & Analysis

From this page, you can configure:

  • your tags

  • your review analysis (Review Management+)

  • your competitive analysis (Competitive Intelligence)

Step 1: Define the overall analysis level

The overall analysis level for Competitive Intelligence depends on how your own review analysis is configured:

  • If your review analysis is set at organisation level, competitive analysis will automatically be applied at this level.

  • If it is set at group level, competitive analysis will be available at group level.

Please note:

Whichever level you choose (organisation or group), you’ll still be able to access a detailed analysis by business.

Step 2: Define the analysis language

The language used for your competitive analysis is the same as the one selected for your own review analysis.

Step 3: Add your competitors and keywords

Click “Configure” to open the full set-up.

Selecting competitors

  • You can add up to 10 competitors.

  • You can also split them by group (e.g.: 2 competitors for 5 groups).

👉 Remember to add:

  • the different spellings of the name

  • variants and abbreviations

  • the competitor’s website

Selecting keywords

  • You can add up to 3 keywords if your set-up is at organisation level.

  • You can add up to 1 keyword per group if your set-up is at group level.

👉 These keywords help identify your competitors correctly in reviews.

Step 4: Launch the analysis

Once you’ve completed the set-up:

👉 Click “Save and launch analysis

  • The analysis for the previous quarter will be available in the following days.

  • Future analyses will then be updated automatically every quarter.

Best practices

To get the most value from Competitive Intelligence:

  • Use clear and consistent tags in Review Management+.

  • Add all name variants for your competitors.

  • Make sure your review data is recent and sufficient.
