Google may suspend or disable your listing. In either case, it's no longer visible on Google Maps or Google Search, which directly affects your business's online visibility.

What is the difference between a suspended listing and a disabled listing?

A suspended listing has been flagged by Google for not complying with its policies. A disabled listing has been removed by Google, often following inactivity or following a report. In both cases, the resolution process is the same: you need to submit a reinstatement form directly to Google.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure that:

  • You have access to the Google listing in question, or can request it from your administrator

  • You have documents proving your business exists (proof of address, company registration document, photo of your shopfront, etc.)

Different scenarios and what to do

1. You have access to the Google listing

✅ You can start the process straight away:

  1. Go to Settings > Platforms > Required actions > Google

  2. Click the listing in question

  3. Click Resolve the issue

  4. Sync your Google account or select an account that is already connected

  5. Partoo automatically checks whether you have access to the listing

  6. A summary screen shows you the documents to prepare before continuing

  7. You are redirected to Google's reinstatement form

  8. Complete and submit the form directly on Google

Google will process your request and contact you by email. Processing time depends entirely on Google.

2. You do not have access to the Google listing

You can request access directly from Partoo:

  1. Go to Settings > Platforms > Required actions > Google

  2. Click the listing in question

  3. Click Resolve the issue

  4. Sync your Google account or select an account that is already connected

  5. Partoo automatically detects that you do not have access to the listing

  6. Send an access request to your administrator from Partoo

  7. Once access is granted, return to the process and access Google's reinstatement form

  8. Complete and submit the form directly on Google

📩 You'll be notified by email when your access request is accepted or declined.

3. You are an administrator (org admin)

The process is simpler for org admins:

  1. Go to Settings > Platforms > Required actions > Google

  2. Click the listing in question

  3. Click Resolve the issue

  4. Sync your Google account

  5. If you do not yet have access to the listing, Partoo retrieves access automatically

  6. A summary screen shows you the documents to prepare before continuing

  7. You are redirected to Google's reinstatement form

  8. Complete and submit the form directly on Google

Key points to remember

  • The reinstatement form is external to Partoo. Once submitted, the decision rests entirely with Google.

  • Partoo cannot track the status of your request or the processing time.

  • Prepare your supporting documents before you start: Google may ask for them directly in the form.
