Set-up of WhatsApp to receive your messages on Partoo

Set up WhatsApp on your Partoo account so that you can easily interact with your clients and prospects

Before getting started: Important information

  • Partoo allows you to manage your WhatsApp Business account, not a personal WhatsApp account.

  • Once activated on Partoo, your WhatsApp messages will only be accessible via Partoo. Therefore, you will no longer be able to view them on the WhatsApp application.

  • It is not possible to import an existing WhatsApp account to Partoo. You will be able to create a dedicated WhatsApp account by following the steps below.

💡 You can reuse the phone number linked to an existing WhatsApp account, but you will need to delete the account first. To retain the chat history, export it as an Excel file before deleting the account.

Follow the steps below to create a dedicated WhatsApp account.

Prerequisites

Here are the conditions to be able to manage your messages from Partoo:

  • Have a Facebook page.

  • Own a Meta Business account and be an administrator of it.

  • Have your identity verified on Meta Business Suite.

  • Have a phone number that is not already linked to a WhatsApp account and is accessible during the setup.

WhatsApp Setup

It is possible to use a landline or mobile phone number to create a WhatsApp Business account from Partoo and thus manage your conversations.

This phone number must not be associated with an existing WhatsApp account (Business or personal).

  1. Go to your Partoo account settings and click on "Messages" and then on "WhatsApp".

  2. Click on "Connect with WhatsApp Business".

  3. A window opens and invites you to link your Facebook account or log in to Facebook. Follow the steps without leaving Partoo.

  4. Select the "Business Wallet" that contains the Facebook page to be associated with the WhatsApp account and click "Next".

  5. Then select "Create a WhatsApp Business account" and click "Next".

  6. Fill in the fields that appear with your company's information and click "Next".

  7. Enter the phone number you want to associate with the WhatsApp account and choose the method for verifying the number – call or SMS, then click next.

  8. You will instantly receive a call or message containing a verification code; enter it into the interface and validate.

Your WhatsApp account is now set up on Partoo 🙌

💡 Additional Information:

  • Group conversations and calls are not supported.

  • Sending and listening to voice messages is not available.

  • Media file sharing is not possible.

WhatsApp automatic follow-up

If you don't respond to a consumer within 24 hours, the WhatsApp conversation automatically closes.
To prevent this, you can configure a follow-up message on Partoo to be sent 1 hour before the 24-hour window expires, keeping the conversation active.

💡Messages are sent only between 9 AM and 6 PM (adjusted to your timezone).

If the 23-hour mark falls between 6 PM and 9 AM, the follow-up will be sent at 6 PM.

How to activate and customize the follow-up message ?

  1. Go to Settings > Messages

  2. Select Platform > WhatsApp

  3. Choose the WhatsApp account.

  4. Scroll down and enable the toggle: "Keep your conversations active."

This follow-up message will be sent repeatedly until the conversation is closed or the consumer stops selecting "Yes".

Deactivate Your WhatsApp Account

To deactivate your WhatsApp account from Partoo:

  1. Go to your Partoo account settings, then click on "Messages" followed by "WhatsApp."

  2. Click on "Edit My Profile". You will be redirected to your Meta account.

  3. Click on "Phone Numbers" and then on the Trash icon. You will have the option to transfer your number to another WhatsApp Business account.

  4. Confirm the operation, and your WhatsApp account will be deactivated.
